I don’t know if you feel it too, but I think that consumption habits have evolved a lot. The population is turning more towards small structures, in search of authenticity, cocooning, and well-being on a small scale. In fact, most medium to large structures on the island are subject to numerous buyouts, intended for seasonal rentals, where individuals in turn become the new owners of these places.
This trend towards alternative consumption is also seen in our relationship with food, where local production and food self-sufficiency are increasingly favored.
