Rest assured, the trail remains flat throughout the hike and is easily doable for families with children. Just make sure to wear sneakers and avoid hiking in flip-flops or barefoot.
The beginning of the trail is in the heart of the forest, but after a short while (about 15 minutes), the view will start to open up, and you'll be able to admire the surroundings: Sainte-Luce, Morne Larcher, the Diamond Rock…
The view is breathtaking! From the top, Pointe Borgnese may be even more beautiful, as you can truly observe the various shades of blue that make it up.
When you reach an "intersection" on the trail, take the path to the right to descend towards the beach and finally take a swim in the crystal-clear waters.
From the hiking trail, you'll arrive directly at the second cove of Pointe Borgnese, which is less crowded than the first.
How to Access Pointe Borgnese?
Pointe Borgnese may still be relatively unknown because its access is not the easiest to find. In other words, you won't stumble upon it by chance!
By car, take the RN5 between Sainte-Luce and Le Marin. You'll see a very small parking area on the right, and this is where you should stop.
Some boat companies also offer day trips to enjoy swimming or snorkeling at Pointe Borgnese.
On the way back to your car, you won't be able to avoid the (slightly challenging, we admit) climb up the rocky path. Don't worry; it really doesn't last very long (5 minutes at most). And besides, such a beautiful beach is worth the effort!
