In the north of Martinique, the peaks of Lacroix (also known as Morne Pavillon), Alma, Dumauzé, Boucher, and Morne Piquet make up the Pitons du Carbet. Rising to over 1,100 meters in altitude, these volcanic mountains are the oldest in Martinique. They stretch from the north of the island to the south of the town of Le Carbet, offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and Martinique.
The Pitons du Carbet are steep and covered in lush jungle vegetation. Above 800 meters, the landscape opens up to clearer views. To experience this Martinican scenery, you'll need good physical condition, an adventurous spirit, and a knowledgeable guide!
