This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a BIG MONDAY. Unfortunately for those who work, you’ll need to take a day off if you want to enjoy the entire day. Let’s detach ourselves a bit from the commercial vision too often associated with this celebration of love and enjoy the moment.

The current situation is complicated enough without seeing evil everywhere. Even if it were a “commercial” holiday, we still have to spend to make our loved ones happy. Besides, almost everything is paid for nowadays, including our freedom. It’s entirely possible to create a #wow effect, #myheartbeatsfast, #thumpthump, in the eyes of your loved one, even on a small budget.

Love appeals to all the senses… and so does food. Make your soulmate salivate with a good meal, whether it is prepared by you or by a professional. Hot or cold, sweet or savory, hearty or light, awaken your senses and theirs during this tasting.

Which format to choose?

A breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, it all depends on your current desires and daily constraints. If you are not opposed to the obligatory stop at the pharmacy or laboratory, a restaurant is a great first choice. Choose an address that breaks the routine, that you have never tried before for example; discovering together is great.

Are you against destroying your nasal passages? No problem. Other options are available to you. You can pick up your take-out meals or contact a caterer who will deliver to your desired location.

Are you good at cooking? That’s just as good. This more intimate option offers you a wide range of possibilities. Use your wildest imagination so that this moment leaves your other half speechless.

Regardless of the defined location, still prioritize a pleasant and peaceful setting.

What advice could you give us for organizing an excellent Valentine’s Day in Martinique?

The first advice I could give would perhaps be to go through Yémy, to call Yémy [laughs]. By calling Yémy, it would simply be a matter of explaining what you want, giving your budget and Yémy would take care of everything.

What option do you have in mind given the current situation?

In Martinique for Valentine’s Day, with the restrictions we currently have, a small dinner at home. A candlelit dinner, if possible as a surprise, would be really perfect.

In terms of decoration, since it’s your field, what would you recommend?

A beautiful table setting with a small white tablecloth, nice plates with smaller plates inside, and small rose petals or other flower petals that can be found along the roadside would be great for decoration. Bougainvilleas are also a good option as they are reddish. You could also purchase a few small balloons. Renting a small inflatable jacuzzi for the evening could also be a nice touch.
