Martinique Regional Natural Park: The Island of Martinique Serving Nature

Two-thirds of the territory, approximately 63,000 hectares, are supported by organizations like the Martinique Regional Natural Park, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021 in the service of the Island of Flowers.

This organization is involved in various fields such as agriculture and environmental profession training. It also promotes alternative tourism to preserve the heritage of Martinique and its waters.

In order for you to enjoy the hikes offered in the Park, it is essential to respect the rules it implements.

PNMR: Guided Walks for Better Exploration

You obviously want to learn more. This is what the park's professionals, including geologists, historians, and mountain guides, offer during hikes and explorations that will enrich your stay while educating you.

For coastal exploration, trek from Le Prêcheur to Trois-Rivières along a beautiful trail. During the six hours of this hike, you will pass through forests, discover wild coves, and waterfalls.

The Trace des Caps takes you from cape to cape, allowing you to step on the sand of many beaches and, of course, explore forests. Other exceptional sites on the program include Habitation Saint-Étienne and the Basse-Pointe River.

In terms of its ecological mission, the park highlights it by organizing visits to natural reserves such as La Caravelle, Château Dubuc, and the Sainte Anne islets. Mount Pelée and the kingdom are also part of these excursions under the auspices of an organization dedicated to biodiversity.
