Cascade Didier Martinique: How to Get There?
For more comfort and, most importantly, for your safety, it's a good idea to wear hiking shoes or sturdy walking sneakers. The trails can be narrow and have roots, so having proper footwear will make your hiking experience more enjoyable.
Additionally, to access these waterfalls in Martinique, you'll need to traverse a tunnel while balancing on a pipe. Having the right hiking equipment will be a good choice. Don't forget to bring a flashlight as well.
The Didier waterfalls, a tropical paradise
Hidden in the heights of Fort-de-France, in a sublime green setting, the Didier waterfalls are small jewels created by Mother Nature. The first is located about 20 minutes walk. As for the other waterfall, access being a bit more difficult, you will have to hike for about 40 minutes.
It should be noted that it is advised to go to the second waterfall on a nice day, as the terrain becomes relatively slippery in rainy weather.
Don’t forget to take your swimsuit in your backpack if you like to swim in clear and refreshing waters, as once you reach your destination you won’t be able to resist the urge to take a dip under these magnificent waterfalls.
To get to Didier Falls, simply follow the direction of Fort-de-France, then take the “Cluny” exit. This last one arrives at the Vietnam Heroic roundabout. At the roundabout, take the “Didier” direction on the right.
