The dull Larcher or the woman who lies
Morne Larcher: a breathtaking hike! Walking, climbing, and admiring the magnificent view that Morne Larcher offers as a reward, like a true rough diamond carved in nature!
Morne Larcher Martinique: an extinct volcano
Standing at 478 meters high, Morne Larcher is a summit of volcanic origin located at the border of the town of Le Diamant in Martinique and Les Anses d’Arlet. It has experienced four eruption phases. The site has been proposed for inclusion in the World Heritage List due to the complexity of its geological composition and the richness of its flora.
It's also a highly appreciated photography spot, offering an exceptional view of the Diamond Bay.
Morne Larcher is the most recognizable part of the "lying woman" formation, as it shapes the "woman's face." Its summit is the woman's chin, which can be seen from several municipalities, including Sainte-Luce, Rivière-Pilote, Sainte-Anne, and Le Marin.
From Le Diamant, you can witness a wonderful sunset behind the "lying woman."
